You will find that unless you are a nonprofit, in basic research or daycare, there are no grants for a small business.

did you google “gov small grants for women”? after the 700billion is spent I doubt there will be any more grants but good luck..

Does anyone know where I can get funding or a grant to maintain my small business. I really am not looking for a bank loan, but rather something from the state or federal government. Its an online business and if anyone can be specific about what program or agency to look at, it would be wonderful.

All that you will be able to find are SBA loans. Grants are ONLY given out to non-profit, governmental, or social service type entities. Do not even waste your time or money looking for free money from the government, because it does not exist. The closest that you will find are tax breaks designed for small businesses….but nothing close to a check with no obligation to pay it back.

Before the government was focused on giving financial assistance to health care and educational sectors. But now times has changed, small businesses have been get financial assistance from the government in the form of business grant.This is good news to businessmen who does not have good credit history. Credit history is not an eligibility criteria, therefore it does not affect your business application at all.You can get grant with bad credit which is advantages.

I’m guessing that you mean a loan and not a grant and that you’ve spent the last few years working in academia. I know a Jana that fits that description actually. It would be hilarious if you happened to be my friend from Eugene.
You can get a small business loan just about anywhere. What you need to worry about is researching the market and writing a complete and reasonable plan.
